Watlow recently introduced
a new line of microprocessor-based temperature and limit controllers for
use in applications requiring basic on-off control. The controllers are
available in a broad range of packaging options, with or without an
operator interface, and can be ordered in square 1/8th DIN
panel mount, DIN rail mount or open board design configurations.
The new line's microprocessor design platform offers significant
performance, repeatability and accuracy improvements over Watlow's
current line of analog basic temperature and limit controllers.
Variable options include the SERIES CV (controller) and SERIES LV
(limit), which feature an operator interface for viewing and selecting
set points. Set point selection is made with a continuous turn rotary
encoder, and is displayed on a red, four-character, seven segment LED
screen. Customers define operating range temperature values through
product configuration part numbers.
The fixed options are the SERIES CF (controller) and SERIES LF
(limit), which offer fixed set points supplied without an operator
interface. Customers define operating set point temperatures through
product configuration part numbers. Watlow's SERIES TM-temperature
indicator is available as an additional order option.
Watlow's new line of temperature controllers are UL® and
C-UL® listed and carry CSA (applied for) and CE approvals.
The limit controllers are FM approved with special UL®(applied
for) approval for the open board potted versions. Both are backed by a
Watlow three-year warranty.
